I'm in the process of bludgeoning my way through the massive Pickwick Papers by Charles Dickens. Bloody funny, seriously!

Along with that, I'm employing my newly acquired but entirely rudimentary skills in Bangla to read a Bengali book. Finally!

    PS Any bongs here?

I'm currently alternating between Boudica by Manda Scott & The Portable Atheist by Christopher Hitchens...

Or wait, does the manual to my new (as yet undelivered) camera count?
    :p

Actually, I've been reading up on photography & photo-manipulation like mad these past few days... I don't know if that counts as actual literary activity, does it?

21 Stories - Greene. Got interested because of the story mentioned in Donnie Darko. Till now the stories have been good and surprisingly engaging! Am also parallel processing the Lucifer comic. Brilliant stuff!

A Brief History of Time. I was surprised to see its a pretty small book! I was expecting, with such a ponderous title, a fat tome with a dark cover and tiny letters. Guess I should've realized that a book this popular cant be a very daunting read :)

Its a cheery little thing, this one is.

If you manage to emerge from it unscathed mate, I'd recommend "The Elegant Universe" by Brian Greene
It talks about the search for the "Unifying Theory of Everything" and although it gets a bit too science-y at times, it's a great read!

I'm on Philip K. Dick's "Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said..." right now. Everyone needs a shot of PKD every now n' then!

Just finished reading 'The Hollow' which is the second one in the Sign of Seven trilogy by Nora Roberts. Now.. I didn't like the first part that much...but I had laid my hands on a trilogy and I needed to know what was happening to the story.. so despite the disappointment of the first one, I went on to read the second. And I felt SO much better than the first this time. Three girls and three guys pair up against an evil force. The author apparently plans to cover one couple per book. So, the second book was all abt how the relationship of the second couple grows while the six figure out ways to defeating the evil. 'The Hollow' had a faster pace than 'The Blood Brothers' (that'll be the first one) and you get to know more about the history of dark force and whatever happened at the Pagan Stone three hundred years ago. Personally, I'd feel much better if the author had put in some more pages of research and lesser ones more the romance... but then, I realized too late that Nora Roberts was actually a romance writer...so... my bad !
So.. you should go for this one because:
    1. Well... if you can survive through the first.. go on and read the second(its much better)
    2. If you've had just too much of plain romantic novels then go for this because it flavours your usual romance with some demon kicking, nightmare fighting, super healing adrenalin rush.. :)
