    A book you would recommend

hey people, lets share with the community books that we've read in the recent times that we would like to recommend to others.
Well, for starters I recently read Kamila Shamsie's 'Burnt Shadows' and was mighty impressed by her writing style as well as the story that spanned continents. I think I'd like to recommend the book to all who like a good storyline and reading different styles.

Is 'Burnt Shadows' about Karachi by any chance?

I recommend reading old, completely out-of-date encyclopedias! I have this Odhams Children's from the 1930's and its fun reading silly crap about 'the dark skinned natives of Hindoostan' and how 'one day, in the glorious future, man might travel to the Moon in giant space rockets'...

Burnt Shadows does cover quite a bit of pre and post partition Karachi. I think you'll find it an interesting read. And your encyclopedias do sound fascinating!! only I don't know where to get some out dated ones! so what are you reading currently?

    Er...I just read English stuff....

    - House of Night series by PC and Kristen Cast
    - Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer
    - Noughts and Crosses series by Malorie Blackman (typical hindi movie-type)

Those are my TOOOOPMOST three ^.^
