    Books into exhibits?

    Hey, y'all.

Ever read a book (science-related, somehow) that you think would make a good exhibit? Feels like I come across those all the time.

    Examples?

Well, Mary Roach's "Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers," for sure.
Also, "Honey, Mud and Maggots" or "A Cabinet of Medical Curiosities."
And, of course, Bob McCoy's book about questionable medical devices.

You guys have any? Love to hear your examples and explanations.

What about Jon Krakauer's "Into Thin Air"? (That book is riveting--you can't put it down--but it also makes me so ANGRY!) It's been out for a long time, and Everest has been done and done and done, but the appeal still seems to hold. (As evidenced by the Discovery Channel show and the IMAX film...)

I think "The Ghost Map" actually could be turned into a great exhibit. Tight case study of the spread of cholera in a single neighborhood in London, but ties to many, many scientific disciplines, opportunities for immersive experiences (ick), and lots of modern-day parallels and implications.
