Are you a business analyst involved in requirements engineering which broadly consists of requirements development and management? This group is intended for you. Business Analysts are also known as requirements analyst or requirements engineer depending on the kind of industry they are into. The term Business Analysis is more generic and applies to both software and other sectors, one of the reasons why I have chosen the name for the group.
Business Analysts are increasingly involved in other value added tasks of Business Process Modeling, Business Process Mapping, Business Process Reengineering and so on.
Business Analysis consists of taking the requirements from the clients (internal or external) and passing them on to other team members in a format which is understandable to them and which helps in formulating the solution for the problems of the clients. Business analysis is something which involves interacting a lot with other team members as well as, a lot of client interface so team work and good interpersonal skills are important. So are logical thinking and good presentation skills. Some of these things are what we club under soft skills and mastered only over a longer period of time but still therer is a lot which a business analyst can improve through a better understanding of the roles of a business analyst , the process of business analysis, and the tools and techniques of the trade.
I invite both freshers who have just begun the journey or want to do so as well as experienced analysts who can collaborate and at the same time mentor the junior members.
Cheers!!
Neeraj
