What propels you most of the time, your Mind or your Brain??

My mind propels me , but the health of my brain certainly helps my mind for making decisions.
    What do you think?

A healthy mind duals in healthy body..
Iam realing the fact strongly once I became ill badly, though
it compelled me to think so negatively that time as if eveything is going wrong with me, nothing is working and bad.
But when I recovered from the illness every thing and every inch was so joyous and positive around I felt.

Physical Health and Mental Health both are closely related; if you are physically bad then autometically would be disturbed mentally and vice versa. Thinking negatively is not related with physical health; it is completely a state of mind. If you are physically fine even then you may think negatively

Yaa, you are right Rupen thanks for your thoughts, but think of a situation when you are low, although you are optimistic , you don't feel like doing something may be you feel like having less energy.
I wasn't actually only talking about physical illness, illness also covers mental setup like when you are depress!!
and moreover thoughts/feeling sometimes comes from hormonal play as well, isn't it ? and these in turn governed largely by body health.

Brain is tangible and anatomic and mind is intangible and psychological

Hear, hear. Agreed. The mind is what the brain does.

Brain is the matter, mind is the spirit of the brain. So the brain as ti is is merely functioning like a machine that may be has logic but cannot comprehend values like the mind. I think it is the mind that is connected to the feelings of the heart.

Agreed, the difference between the brain and the mind is how we use our physical brain to house and nurture or spiritual and ethereal-seeming minds.

    Hi everybody
I 've just joined to your group, i think one of the main points is the role of CONSCIOUSNESS.Does it belong to somewhere in brain or is it ruled by mind? Do people here believe in Dualism (seperation of brain and mind) or interconnection between these two?

Thank you Ali D to start a good topic,
I will define conciousness as a property of mind, but definitely to work out your mind you need brain and a body, but I feel its difficult to think for us these separable thing.
Let say although brain posses all the regions to control your body but your mind can control all erratic emotions.
But definitely counciousness has no meaning or exsistence (for the other person) if you can't show it , for that you need a brain and ofcourse a body.

I think dualism is how human beings approach the infinitely complex.

The point where our ability to visualize "big" and "small" hits its limit, both ends become split off from us consciously. So we've got the bit in between that we consider the mind. But it's all the same spectrum.

well, how can you tell who's ruling who? If the mind is intuition then yes, if the ming is a relative logic then no.
Maybe one needs both I guess..

Brain and mind are deeply intertwined. Thinking negatively can definitely have a physical impact. Thought processes can make you physically ill!
