This is a reading group and forum for black males age 13-19. Located in the Bowie Mitchellville Area. The group's mission is to encourage a love of books and reading in black males. The books chosen are those that present a primary male character in a positive light and those that help to develop strong character, molding young men into becoming positive black men. Occasionally a book is chosen that represents the black male in a less than positive light, for the sake of learning a lesson from the plight of the character.

The group's discussion is led by a different adult male mentor each month. The young men choose which books they wish to read with the guidance of the group organizer. This group meets the second Sunday of each month from 2-4 PM at the home of the organizer. We are an on-line group as well.
