Destination Romance: Romance Slam Jam Charity Event

    Hello All,

The Black Romance group grew out of the Romance Slam Jam Family's love of Black Romance. For those of you who don't know, the Romance Slam Jam is an annual conference where readers and authors of Black romance get together to celebrate their love of Black romance.

Each year the Romance Slam Jam tries to support a non-profit organization. For the 2010 conference, instead of doing the usual raffle, we worked with Red Rose Publishing and several fantastic authors to release an anthology where all proceeds will go to the charity.

African American women are the fasting growing population being diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. With that in mind, proceeds from the sale of the Destination Romance e-book Series and anthology go to the South Side Help Center, an HIV/AIDS prevention intervention and education program for African American women in Chicago.

Destination Romance: While on a cruise to Jamaica, six couples discover the “Love Boat” is a lot more than a television series from the 1980s, and this time the destination is hot, steamy romance.

In this week's episode, Trapped In Paradise by Deatri King-Bey
After escaping an abusive marriage, Saundra Write swore never to allow anyone to trap her again. Then comes along Jeremy King, the kind of man any woman would beg to be trapped in paradise with.

Did you miss last week's episode? No problem.

In last week's episode, As A Whisper by Altonya Washington

Izaya Charles was devastated when Gunther Datari ended their passionate and lengthy relationship. Work keeps her going until she and Gunther meet aboard the newest ship in his fleet. Will desire or devastation be the outcome of their reunion?

    Destination Romance Series: http://redrosepublishing.com/bookstore/index.php?cPath=76_174

Note: In December the print edition of Destination Romance, which will include all six titles, will be released, and all proceeds except for printing and distribution cost will be donated to the South Side Help Center.

Please help us spead the word about this worthy cause.

Thank you so much for your support!

Now I know you are busy and all, but "me" time is extremely important. Take at least 30 minutes a day for you where no one can bother you.

      Have a great weekend also.

      Peace
      Dee

    Hi Dee -

Just so you know I have downloaded the stories to my Kindle. (as mobipocket files .prc)
Also trying to find time to read then - especially since it has been raining in NC for the past three days.

    Really good idea!
