Mr. Jordan...CONGRATS on writing such a WONDERFUL trilogy...the final installment is yet another GOOD read...it had some ENDEARING & sensual romantic moments...I also enjoyed catching up with the Knights and their circle of family/friends...and I'm looking forward to POSSIBLY reading more stories about the Knights close-knit circle of friends...hint, hint...Dr. Troy, Sandra, Jared...and the others mentioned through out this ENJOYABLE series.

ALWAYS A KNIGHT is Russell’s story, do you have any favorite characters or scenes that you wouldn’t mind sharing or providing a little more insight on?

Where did the idea of the Knight Trilogy come from?

Who is your favorite character in the Knight Series?

Are you planning to continue writing stories for some of the Knight family's circle of friends...I enjoyed the secondary cast or characters and would love to see some of them get their own story?

Okay...I have to ask...unrelated to any particular novel...but I'm DEFINITELY curious...as a romance junkie...I get teased all the time for reading books that many people label as "fluff, non-sense readingl, porn or plan old smut"...so as a male author in the business of writing romance do you get teased or ridiculed for being a romance author...if so what do you say and how does it make you feel?!!!

But before we get deep into the book discussion - I just wanted to say that once again in this book Darius stole my heart! And I think he stole any scene he was in. He is such a charmer.

    Sweet and Sassy

I feel honored that you took time to read The Knight Family trilogy...I really enjoyed reading it and writing it taught me a serious lesson about writing connected books. Create a bible to make sure that all the elements are consistent. I've noticed a few inconsistencies, so let me apologies for those and hope they didn't stop you from totally enjoying the books...

I'm currently working on book #3 in the Buchanan Brothers series and my first novella. By Her Command will be out in a Parker Publishing anthology, NAUGHTY GIRLS IN BADGES in June 2010. Daniel Buchanan's story will be out in October 2010. In 2011, will be the first two books in the Knight Friends series of books. Troy's story and Sandra's story, and George's story. Jared's book, yet uncontracted, will follow, I hope.

THE IDEA BEHIND THE KNIGHT TRILOGY

I conceptulized the trilogy because I wanted to create a series about a rich black family in Barbados. Shayne became the head of that family as the owner of a sugar cane plantation here on the island. With our island's history, a black man owning a plantation is not the norm. So I stared with "What if?"

I also wanted to deal with several issues. Shayne and his not wanting to be a father, Kyle and his blindness, Russell and his alienation from his family. I love to write romance, but I want to make sure that important issues are a part of my work. Hopefully, people will notice the underlying message.

I for one look forward to reading the 3rd book in the Buchanan Brothers series...seems like we've been waiting FOREVER...LOL...but all good work takes time...and of course I'm glad to see you'll be writing stories for the Knight's friends...sounds like the next few years will be busy for you...so with that being said...my next question is what do you do in your down time...LOL...if there's such a thing for you?

Yes, I'm going to be busy for the next few years. I love writing, but having a full time job doesn't make it easy. For most of 2008, after writing five books in two year will a full time job, I was just tired and needed a break. Now, I'm back...

      Hello Wayne.
I love the Knight series. One Gental Knight and Shayne will always be the first Knight in my dreams... However, I was anxiously waiting for Russell and his dreads to come along since Shayne had such an issue with him. When To Love A Knight finally arrived, I was not disappointed. It was a wonderful loving story. The immediate effect Tori had on Russell was priceless. It seemed he never recovered from the first night he saw her on stage. WOW.

Here's my question, If the roles were reversed and Russell had to make the decission on career or love, would it had been the same? Tori chose to follow her career and Russell had a little difficulty accepting that decission. If Russell would have chosen career, would Tori as the female accept his dicession and changed her plans to be with him?

I'm hoping that I would have done the same thing with Tori. I think that either way the story would have worked since conflicts like these make for great character development etc. I did think about taking it in that direction originally, but since it was more Russell's story, I wanted to have him deal with Tori's choices and prove himself the man he should be.

My favorite character in the series is Kyle. I enjoyed writing his story. The damages recluse being tamed is one of my favorite themes.

My favorite scene is in TO LOVE A KNIGHT...when Kyle and Tamara make love for the first time, I actually felt tears in my eyes. Here was a man who'd be a playa and reduced to being so unsure of himself...the love scene is tender and touched me even as I wrote it.

Kyle is favorite from the Knight books. However, Taurean would be my favorite of all my characters. He'd so much like I am...that's how he got his name. I'm born the 1st May under the sign Taurus...thus his name. He embodies all the quality I hope are mine. Noble, caring, honest, honorable...

Of all your characters Taurean is DEFINITELY my all time favorite...Capture the Sunrise is quite a TOUCHING story...I was DEFINITELY hooked...and after I read "Embracing the Moonlight" I've been eagerly anticipating the rest of the Buchanan series...so you know I AM SO glad it's finally in the works...I'm doing a little jig...LOL

"You are one of a small portion of male romance authors. How does that make you feel?"

At first, it felt a bit intimidating, but going to conferences, being around other authors, helped to build my confidence as I really felt accepted. Of course, readers' positive response to my books also helped.

I've always been a writer, but I wanted to be publisher. It's something that I was born with.

I've been fortunate. I didn't have any problems getting published. I submited my first ms, the editor loved it and give me a CALL.
My biggest challenge being a writer has a lot to do with juggling two careers. I'm a teacher and getting to write sometimes at night is difficult...with grading and all the other stuff involved with being an educator. However, over time, I'm now able to manager my time well.

How do your students treat you or act with you being a famous romance author? What grade do you teach? Are the students old enough to read your novels? if so what do they say as far as feedback? If not do their parents read your books and how do they treat you knowing you write romance?

Most of the older students know and mothers have sent books to be signed. Of course, some students do tell me their mothers have allowed them to read them, but those are mostly the 16 year olds.

I teach mainly students from 14 - 16 years. We use the English system... Fourth and Fifth Forms.

I've never had any serious problems being a male romance author. In fact, the novelty of being male has drawn some people to my book. If I had to say there was a problem, it's be that some people, very few, have a misconception that men can't write romance since it's difficult for us to get into the female psych.

Not sure if I'm asking this right...but hopefully you'll understand...What do you contribute to your ability that makes you so in tune to the female psych? And is it easier for you to get your female or male characters on paper?

I definitely want to write new families and other stories. I want to write romantic suspense too, so that's definitely in the work, but I need to increase my speed and spend more time writing instead of reading and watching tv.

Of course, when Gwyneth starts recommending movies, I end up taking time off writing to go to the cinema or drive-in. lol

Sorry I'm late chiming in. I had to work today and then the hubby and I took and early dinner and checked out the new Tyler Perry movie after work. I really enjoyed the entire Knight series and can't wait to read about their friends. I loved the fact that this book showed two people connecting and not really knowing what to do with it at first. I liked that they spent time apart. That was like real life. I guess that's what I liked most about the book, the realism... Sure you had the instant connection that we see in romance novels, but we also have the reality that it takes working through various issues, etc to really make a relationship work. I liked that... :-)
