Welcome to the group and to the Anitaverse.
I was in the same boat as you not to long ago. I kept reading in the quotes by other authors on my Sookie Stackhouse novels about these books by Laurell K. Hamilton so I finally found the first Anita book and was instantly addicted I read the first 17 book in about 2 weeks. I've been in love ever since. You can read the first chapter of her new Anita book 'Flirt' on LKH's website if you look in the blog section. Welcome!! It's nice to know I'm not the only 'newbie' to the Anita Verse :D
Her books are awesome and i didnt even read them in order. Wonder when shes coming out with another book?
oh i see the post before me. Flirt. Hmm doesnt sound like an anita blake book...
Kind of what I thought...but I'm not concerned. I'm ridiculously excited for it's 2/2 release!!!
Flirt is a little book like Micah was. Just something to hold us over until June when Bullet comes out. :)
HUGE anita fan. I love her personality. And yes, after reading Guilty Pleasures I was immediately hooked for more anita and definitley wanted more of Jean-Claude. Now I'm reading Narcissus in Chains (bk 10).
That was one of my favorites. I've read it twice I believe. :)
I loved that book. The books only get better and better. :)
Hey there. I am new to this group as well. I glad to know I am not the only one who loves these books. I feel like a junkie...i can't stop. I am on Burnt Offerings and I just cant wait to read them all.
I've been around for awhile, there hasnt been a lot of post lately, but hopefully there will be soon!!
I read flirt yesteray in one sitting... I love it!! Took you back to the old school days of Anita...
Looking forward to great book & character discussions with you all!
Well, nine months later and here I am. I read the Anita books shortly after reading the Sookie books and, man, I have to say that the Anita books are way better written. Don't get me wrong, I still love True Blood, but I never liked those books. Why? Because I didn't like the characters...except for Eric. But I love the Anita characters...ALL of them except for Richard...who finally redeemed himself in the last book. So all is good.
I have been reading Anita for six years now. I have been alone in the Anitaverse until now. None of my friends read the books, but now everyone is interested in 'Nita since HBO got hot for vampires. I am a huge fan of the series. I just wanted to shout out to everyone in the universe and I look forward to some great discussions as I read Hit List next month. I can't wait!!!!!
