  Movie anyone???

  Which novel have you read recently that you think would make an excellent movie? Now ... who would you have play the main characters?

  My mother and I are huge fans of the Amelia Peabody Emerson mysteries. And if you ever need a big dose of romantic hero worship, get acquainted with her son, Ramses. Anyhow, we've bantered about who would make a good Ramses Emerson and finally decided that a slightly younger Antonio Banderas would be ideal.

    I always try to figure out who would play the characters in the books. I go back to Rene Zwelliger for almost every movie ... because she's such an amazing actress!

  Any of Dee Henderson's books or Susan May Warren's books would make excellent movies. It would depend on which book & they're all so good I can't choose which to do first. :)

    Great question! I always ask that when I interview authors and it is so much fun to see who they imagined their characters to be. Carolyne Aarsen in a recent interview with me picked Keifer Sutherland for her character called Jack (yes, she is a huge fan of 24!). It fitted really well but I had to make the physical adjustment to the Jack that was in my head!

    Okay, wanna hear something funny? When I was working on my series on The Spanish Civil War our whole family was into Alias. We watched all five seasons in one year. Anyway, it wasn't until I was deep into my first novel that I realized something. My main character was (Sophie) and the main character of Alias was Sydney. And the love interest in both ... Michael. And, yes, there is spying going on. Hmmmm .... I wonder where I got that?!

  Matt Bronleewe's Illuminated would make a fantastic movie. I think it's a cross between National Treasure and The Da Vince Code. I have no idea who I'd get to play the characters though. Not as up on current actors as some of you I'm sure.
