What theme, plot or struggle would you like addressed in a fictional book?

You can read many non-ficiton books about a vareity of issues people have and they can learn from these books how to deal with them but what struggles have you thought of that you wished would be dealt with in a ficitonal book.?

I think many issues are covered in fiction books. I also think some can be handled better in fiction. For example, The Atonement Child by Francine Rivers was an awesome book dealing with rape and abortion. It helped me "think through" the issue while caring for the people I was reading about.

I would like to read more stories about how obedience to God yields great benefits; such as in the book by Francine Rivers called, The Atonement Child. I read it in one sitting and gave it for Christmas and birthday gifts. It touched the heart while teaching truths. It would encourage all of us to "stay the course" and not give up if we could read more books about people who actually are doing that in a vairety of situations. It could be singles staying making a choice to abstain from sex before marriage; it could be about showing love to someone while you are setting boundaries. What about the struggles between in-laws? A way to resolve these issues God's way and be victorious. Maybe staying faithful in a marriage when the grass truly is greener on the other side of the fence. The possiblities are endless; but I would like to read about more victories and the struggles, pain, doubts but the ultimate choice to do it God's way and the blessings that follow. It would encourage me.

Annsharon, I agree with you completely. Too few books address the difficult issues, and instead are just fun stories with happy endings. For example, why does a book with even a trace of a romantic element always end with guy getting the girl or vice versa? I'd like to see a book where the girl doesn't do what you think she's gonna do in the end....stay single for awhile and let God direct her course.

I'll also second your opinion on in-laws. There are couples out there that LIVE with their in-laws, and that could provide some interesting reading for sure!
