    Your favorite Action Adventure?

I was wondering if anyone has a favorite a/a book? If you do, care to share? I'm startled to realize most of my faves are vintage. Would love to meet a modern a/a writer.

All time fave is probably When Eight Bells Toll. Love the action and the humor. Maclean rocks. IMHO.

He also mixes-and-matches the character groups, so it isn't always the same team dynamic that conquers the challenge. Oh, and he isn't afraid to kill off characters, either, which always keeps you wondering...
