Barbara slammed the snooze button one more time.

She usually loved the early morning hours, but this morning she squeezed her eyes shut, pulling the feather pillow over her head, and stretched herself across the king size bed, empty except for Q.
The cool, misty morning air drifting in the window beckoned Barbara to take a long deep breath.
She wearily opened her eyes upon exhaling only to find that Q remained absolutely still.
In fact, she seemed rather too still.
Barbara took her hand mirror from the bedside table and began searcing for signs of aging that may have occured during the night.
Fingering the loose skin and wrinkles around her eyes, Barbara breathed a resigned sigh out her nose -- and then saw, in the mirror, why Q was so still.
Twisted around Q's little neck was the belt from Barbara's bathrobe/

She sat up frantically, eyes wide, breathing heavy.
Sure, Q was supposed to be dead -- but not *yet*!

Suddenly Q grabbed Barbara's arm and started to laugh.
Barbara cursed and jerked her arm from Q's grasp, "Damn it, that's not fair . . . I was 'it' all day yesterday."
As she shuffled her way to the kitchen for her morning cup of joe, she heard a strange sound.
She wasn't certain of its origin but it sounded as if the noise had come from underneath the floorboards or perhaps from somewhere within the walls.

"I think we have bats in the walls again!", she yelled upstairs to Q.
"Damn those bats," Q replied, "I've had it, I tell you, I've had it."
Q bounded down the stairs in a few giant leaps and Barbara wasn't sure just what to expect.
Oh no, Barbara knew how Q could behave in moments like this....
"And what is it you intend to do with that iron?" she asked as Q stood poised for action: an unplugged iron in his cocked right hand, boots on his feet, and his bathrobe barely covering his manhood.
"I'm going to put an end to this," Q replied, "one way or another."
He lurched to the right, caught his boot on the broken shoe molding, and fell to the floor.

Barbara rinsed the tea pot, then selected earl gray to brew while she pulled the iron from Q's hand and hit him on the head with it.
"What the f*** Barbara?!?" bellowed Q. "Q, you know I can't stand for the killing of ANY animal!!" shouted back Barbara.
