  My favorite is Alice Hoffman. She has a great way of blending the everyday mundane parts of life with the strange magical parts that people tend not to see. If you like magical realism her books are filled with it. My favorites have been The Probable Future and Practical Magic.
  
  I also like Barbara Wood, Victoria Holt, V.C. Andrews, Sarah Addison Allen and too many more to list.

  i love Nirmala Devi - in "Meta Modern Era" she explains the hottest topics with a terrific simplicity and genuinity. this book is a must for all the modern women interested in evolution of the individual as well as of the collective community they live in around the world.

  I have to admit.. I go through phases.. and right now I'm leaning toward Jane Porter. I know.. she's commercial. But, I love reading her. And, she's a new author; up and coming, someone to watch out for as she's going to knock the socks off the writing world.
