I am currently reading several books. Most of which aren't even for the summer reading challenge. I am about 100 pages into Must Love Dragons by Stephanie Rowe. I am finding it very good. I really enjoyed Date Me Baby One More Time and the second book is just as fun. What could be more entertaining then two people who meet online and fall in lust only to find out that the girl is a dragon who sells a "to be determined later" favor to Satan to get her human form back after being stuck in dragon form for 200 years after drinking from the Fountain of Youth (who is currently in the form of an espresso machine). Oh, and the guy? A dragon slayer. Yeah....it is very entertaining thusfar!
Also am about 100 pages into Dark Needs at Night's Edge by Kresley Cole. This is my second book by her in a week. I loved the last one I read and have that insane itch to drop everything to read just one more paragraph...and then just one more....and then just one more. You know how it is. This one is about Conrad a vampire who is being held captive by his 3 brothers in an old mansion owned by a murdered woman in the 1920's. Conrad is consumed by the insanity of his past to where he appears more mad then anything. In his madness he is the only one, who after 80 years, can actually see the entity that Neomi as become. Two very unlikely H/H's to be sure. A mad vampire and a ghost. Trust me on this though, it makes an excellent book when Kresley Cole pens it.
Also 100 pages (not sure why all of these are 100 pages but they are)into Love is Blind by Lyndsay Sands. This is the first historical romance that I have read by her and I am very much enjoying it. Clarissa is known as "Clumsy Clarissa" because her stepmonster won't let her wear her glasses. No one will court her because the poor girl can't see at all without them and she keeps having accidents like setting a gentleman's wig on fire, dumping hot coffee onto one suiter's "piffle" as he called his [ahem] manhood and tripped and fallen down stairs. Adrian is the man who over looks her accidents and wants to know her better. But for some reason her stepmonster won't allow it...she thinks he is a rake and will only ruin Clarissa for a suitable marriage. I am enjoying these two flawed characters (yes Adrian is flawed too) so much and am enjoying disliking Clarissa's stepmother too. Can't wait to see what happens next.
