I'm about 75 pages into the book and I just love it so far. It's really different from what I'm used too but I don't mind. How did you like Scent of Darkness? Is that a series book? I've only read one or two Christina Dodd's books so far but I do have Tongue in Chic in my library TBR pile. Have you read that one?

Have a good weekend!

No I don't have a advanced copy. I pre-ordered it through Chapters/Indigo books. Her website says it's scheduled for release for September but it seems to have come out early. I'm not the only one with a copy of it. Another person on Shelfari who I questioned how she got a copy of it about 3 weeks ago said she's a reviewer so that's why she had a early release of it.

I know what you mean about so many books so little time. !! I have that problem too. LOL

Finished Driven and I just loved it. It was fast, edgy, agressive futuristic romance with cool characters. I finished it about 3 a.m. ....Now I have to go work. :(

I got up this morning, checked my Yahoo e-mail, there's a e-mail from Eve Silver's website saying that she's (aka Eve Kenin) is blogging on a website this morning so I got to talk to her there a little bit about it. That was pretty cool! She's very nice. She said that she's writing a sequel for it called Hidden to come out next summer. I'm going to have to try some other of these Shomi books.

I have 50 pages more or less left. At first I really liked this book it started off pretty good than 1/2 way through it kind of lost steam for me.I really didn't care for the heroine at all,I thought she was to upstart and bitchy to the hero and I don't like that.
So on a scale of 1~5 stars I would give this a 3 star rating.Hopefully the next book will be better.

Hi Lisa,

I don't blame you I don't care for bitchy heroine or heroes that are jerks. I always want to yell "DUMP HIM OR HER" you big dummy! I know what you mean about turning you off. It's hard to finish it if you don't like the characters.

I just finished The Bride Finder by Susan Carrol. And now just for a change of pace I'm reading Shelter Mountain by Robyn Carr. It's okay. I thought it would be better by the ooh's and ahh's on the RT message boards. Personally I think the story line has been done over and over again. Batterered wife on the run with child and the hero helps her. I guess its just personal preferences in story lines in books. I always go for originality.

What are you reading now?

Well after reading Scent of Darkness I needed something lite and funny so I just started "Night Bites" by Nina Bangs. last night, and so far it's good.

I know what you mean about done to death storylines.thats why I stopped reading Christine Feehan's Carpathain series it was like the same book over and over again.

Don't bother with Shelter Mountain. I actually have about 30 pages left but I'm determined to finish it even if its kinda boring. Overdone storyline. I gave it 3 stars for a review but I see two other people gave it 5 stars. I'm like ...what did we read the same book?? Oh, well I guess its just what kind of books you like.

Night Bites is that a series book? Everyone's sure like the vampire books. They seem to really be into J.R. Ward. I'm going to have to try some. I think I'm missing out! *grin* I missed out on the Carpathian series but I did read the Ghostwalker series.

I've got Awaiting the Night and Awaiting the Moon by Donna Lea Simpson in my TBR pile. Have you read either of those? I also have Castle of the Wolf by Sandra Schwab in my TBR pile too. I'm new to the werewolves but I bought them because they sounded like they had a Gothic twist in there with the old castle, etc. I'm going to have to look up Bianca D'Arc. I haven't heard of her but then I just started buying a few of these type of books.

Well last night it was JR Ward, Lover Awakened, then the night before it was another Ward, Dark Lover, and tonight it is going to be the third one in the series, but I am going to make sure to start it before 9, because I can't put them down once I start, and I end up staying up till 11!

Noellkitty ~~~ Hi

Question ~- I haven’t' started theJ.W. Ward series but I was going to this last week. What put me off was of all the negative comments about the latest book. What did you think of this book or your read it. Is the series worth still starting or was it really that bad?'

Hi 2Prariedogs, I'm not Noellekitty, but I 'll chime in.
The series is definitely worth reading. I was disappointed with the last book too. Someone pointed out that the first four books were paranormal romance. The last book was a novel. I think that sums up the whole difference. It was a good novel, but it sure wasn't a romance. That won't matter to some people, but it does to those of us who want to read a love story.

I am currently reading an ARC of Divorced, Desperate and Delicious By: Christie Craig. This is a must read. The characters are amazing and so funny. This book is a real page turner that will keep you up all night to find out what happens next with Lacy and Chase. I highly recommend this book to every one who loves a real page turner with hilariously funny and sexy characters.

Well, thanks to that wonderful website paperbackswap.com, I have about 45 books in my bedside TBR pile, and another 50 or 60 in my bookshelf that I have to read. Right off hand, I have a susan sizemore, a couple of emma holly, some phillipa gregory, brian jacques, lisa kleypas, christina dodd, angela knight, catherine coulter, and bunches of others. That stupid pile keeps getting bigger and bigger! lol! Seems like the faster I read, the faster it grows.
