Just introducing myself
Started by CherAl2003, Wednesday, May 7 2008. Last post Monday, May 12 2008.

Hi, I'm an aspiring romance author. I've written and mailed to a publisher one novel - it was rejected (smile), but I'm not discouraged. It's all part of the journey, right! I will continue to study the craft of writing and romance writing, in particular, and keep on moving forward, as all of us must do!

Hello I am also in the same boat I just submitted a story but I am waiting for the response so I keep my fingers crossed. I have finished my second short story just have to polish it and write my synopsis. Sigh so much to do.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, too. Tell me, do you find writing a synopsis difficult? For some reason, I always get bogged down when I try to write one. Fortunately, the editor to whom I send my story didn't require one. She preferred getting the completed novel from new unknown writers, though she did require a synopsis from published authors. Isn't that interesting?

Writing a synopsis, I think, is one of the most difficult things do. I've never heard of an editor not wanting a synopsis. Who is this? I want to send him/her something. [ggg] But really, a lot of writers think this is the hardest part of writing. I sweat when I write mine. There is a definite art that I don't think I've perfected yet. As with all writing, just keep at it. I'm hoping one day it will all just click into place in my frazzled brain, so I don't have to sweat anymore.
