    Merman?

I just found a book called Seascape by Stephanie Burke and its about a man from the sea. .Instead of a mermaid, its a merman. I just had one question for you guys. Has anybody read this book or something like this? I'm tempted, but just not sure about the whole idea of a merman. It's published by Ellora's cave so i know it would be really erotic, but do you think it could be an interesting story? We love our vampires, dark hunters and shape shifters, but do you think a merman can be a really good alpha male? The cover itself didn't make me think alpha male.

I don't have the book, it was suggested to me on amazon. I was wondering about how would the guy and the woman be able to have sex. I think most mermaids can only be out of the water for so long..lol..Who knows..I did find an excerpt from it on ella's cave. Maybe I'll see if they have a used copy available on amazon.

You can never judge a book by its cover, it might actually be a pretty good book, but you'll never know if you don't try it. There's alpha male whatevers so why not an alpha male merman? It is a nice twist on an old idea.

I'll look into Seascape. I've read Soul Song (Dirk & Steele) - Marjorie M. Liu and The Nymph King - Gena Showalter both very hot waterfolk. I have the Lord of the Deep & The Waterlord - Dawn Thompson and The Last Mermaid - Shana Abe waiting on the night stand to be read all waterfolk.

I have Seascape in my TBR pile. I don't see any why he couldn't be alpha. I've read stories male Selkies and didn't have a problem with their alpha-ness, lol.

I just finished a merman story, Prince of the Sea by Megan Hussey, and boy, this merman was the so NOT alpha or Beta. (In fact I'm not sure if he even made it to omega! lol) The writing was very purple too. Not my cup of tea at all.

Thank you for your opinion on my book Prince of the Seas. I do tend to write heros that don't make a habit of throwing the heroines over their shoulders and ravishing them beyond recognition; and since purple is a color of female empowerment, I take this as a compliment!:) Even so, Prince of the Seas has been a consistent best seller for me and I even have a fan club for my merman stories--visit my website at http://goldenmuse.tripod.com/meganhusseysmermen to find out more!

      Hugs,

      Megan Hussey

Hi Roz! I hope you don't mind me touting my own work, but I have five merman stories in e-book form through Silk's Vault and Midnight Showcase and one in a print anthology from MS; plus a collection of my stories is about to be released in print form through Silk's. For more info please visit http://goldenmuse.tripod.com/meganhusseysmermen. Also, my friend Anna Fallon has a wonderful story called Sea Lover out through Phaze.

    Hope you enjoy,

    Meg
