Military SciFi

A group for the military scifi fans out there... To me, they are kind of like a scifi version of a romance novel... Are they deep philosophical stories? Not usually... Are the fun to read? Yes!

    Lieutenant Leary Commanding

I have been really enjoying David Drake's series, Lieutenant Leary Commanding. Doea anyone else like this series as much as I do?

I don't remember reading that series. I haven't read much Drake in recent years. I read the early Hammer's Slammers stuff and a couple non series novels (i.e. Ranks of Bronze) but not much of his work in the last 20 years or so.

I liked the Leary series, although it should almost be called the Mundy/Leary series. That's not a bad thing as I think Adele really makes the whole thing work. I've read them all and I would expect that when the next one comes out I'll read it also.
