Military SciFi

A group for the military scifi fans out there... To me, they are kind of like a scifi version of a romance novel... Are they deep philosophical stories? Not usually... Are the fun to read? Yes!

I thought it was good. It's not just about endless combat. As the rest of this trilogy goes on a little bit of intrigue is brought in. The follow up trilogy keeps the same theme going. Of course that's if you like this first one.

We'll see... Here's hoping... I had bought it as part of a 4-3 promotion at amazon a few weeks ago... I'll post back when I finish...

I also thought it was good, although the third book of the trilogy was not as strong, in my opinion.

Well... Just finished this one last night... Not too bad... I'll give the second one a read but I don't feel compelled to buy it right away... Overall a decent story...

I came off the Starfist Series by David Sherman and Dan Cragg (which rocks as a series), and Have read all seven books in the series. It was fun continuation of "Marines in space", as well as a, a different perspective. Starfist is Earth Confederation in the 25th century, and Ian Douglas (william Keith Jr.) is near time, 22nd century.

Douglas lays out the story very well, and it moves along.

      I give it 4 out 5 lasguns!
(starfist is 5 out of 5 lasguns!)
