    What do you look for?

So I started to write a novel that I will hopefully get it published, it’s a Historical Romance genre (Regency theme)

I've written around 6 chapters already but I wanted to get some feedback from you guys and see what do look for in a book, so that I would make the necessary changes while I'm still at the beginning

Is an impossible match the kind of book that gets your attention? Difference in social status to be specific

The novel takes place after the hero and heroine decide to marry? would you prefer having long flashback chapters on how they met and their romance together or just a few paragraphs summarizing everything in order to focus on the main novel idea in hand (what happens after happily every after)?

What kind of Heroines do you like?

What kind of heroes do you like? The one who likes to make the peace or the peace destroyer? Tell me your opinion on both of these traits.

Is having a Heroine endure the events that are happening to her in silence, no matter what they throw at her, for the sake of her marriage something that might interest you? Would that classify her as strong or weak? (Much like a tortured Heroine instead of the usual tortured Hero, kinda switched their roles)

Is having a possible Sequel to the book something that you'd like? Or would you rather read a book and be done with it?

That’s all I could think of right now, I would really appreciate it if you guys could give me some feedback on these questions. It would really help a lot

P.S I might post additional questions, depending on how the discussion goes

    Thanks guys
