Thoughts on The morganville vampire series: The Glass House

    Save Changes Cancel
Hi. I'm currently reading the book 'The glass house' by Rachel Caine. It's the first book in The morganville vampires series. Anyways I'm almost done with it and I was curious if others in the group had read it and what they thought about it? I haven't read any vampire book like it, it's kind of different isn't it?

I am reading The Glass House now, and I can't seem to really settle into the story. I think that due to my last read though, kind of hard to go from The Black Dagger Botherhood to Morganville. So I shelfed The Glass House for a few days untill the brothers are out of my mind. Hopefully next time I pick it up I will beable to really get into the story. I have heard it is a very good read.

I've read books 1-4 and I have really liked them. I think she's a great author and my favorite thing about them is the way she ends them with a cliff hanger.
Clarie has grown alot since Glass Houses and I just look forward to continue reading the series.

I finally pick it up again and was suprised at how much I got into it. Clarie does seem really young and out of touch at first. 16 never done this never done that etc.. I was bored when reading Glass Houses, but once the story picked up I could not put the books down I read all 4 in a week. I am really hoping that the Vamp's and the Humans learn to live together in Morganville after they help fight Bishop. I really like some of the vamps even though they are bad. My fav char is Myrinn, he is very unpredictable, and without him Morganville would fall apart. Unless Rachel Canie plans to use Clarie to know the workings of Morganville, Myrinn will get his cure. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

I read Glass Houses but couldn't really get into it. Are the rest of the books better than the first?

I am on the 5th book now. I dont think that I will finish it, I just cant get into it... I am not sure if it is b/c it is a YA series. I liked the first books ( not loved them)... I think that I have read so many great series recently that it is hard to live up to them.
