  Dune and Chapterhouse

  Hey guys and gals, just noticed that Dune and Chapterhouse: Dune are identified as being the same book. Can't add them separately. Who can we tell about this?

  I don't think they are the same book, but a continuation...with all the cloning, the original characters are "doomed" to immortality. What a commentary on our present world !
  I have always felt that like Tolkien, Frank Herbert is timeless.

  "Dune" was the first written in the series. "Chapterhouse: Dune" was the sixth book written in the series. If you're still having trouble with this you might look through my bookshelf. I have them both added separately. Though I just noticed that they did have the title listed wrong for "Chapterhouse: Dune". I submitted a correction of the title. Here are addresses to the two separate books as I have them added to my shelf.

  I'm anxious to see if they admit your changes because I've tried it with several titles and authors from my shelf and got zip! Do they take really THAT long or it's just useless and I shouldn't bother?

  In a sense: certain characters in Chapterhouse:Dune are genetically related to the characters in the first dune book. But Duncan Idaho is the only surviving character based in fact that he is a clone of the original.
