What did you think of Neverwhere? It's been several years since I last read it, but I loved it when I did.

I enjoyed! It's been on my shelf for awhile and am glad I picked it up. It's definitely a good read, if you enjoy other books by the author.

    19. Eats, Shoots and Leaves - Lynne Truss, 209p.

I've had this for awhile and never wanted to pick it up. I decided to read it before going to bed and then couldn't put it down. The humor in the book is great.

    21. At Risk - Alice Hoffman, 219p.

I read the first few chapters and it hit me that I've read this book before. Signed on and saw that I didn't have it in my read pile. Not sure when I must have picked it up but I remember going through a big Hoffman book list in High School and assume I read it during that time. Reading these last two days has been kinda sad. The subject matter and the fact that I didn't remember reading this before just made me feel a bit depressed. My choice of fiction has been down right depressing. This was a wonderful book and one that would recommend to just about anyone.

    22. Alias Grace - Margaret Atwood, 468p.

The story is a bit drawn out and frankly I'm surprised to have read it to the end.

    24. 172 Hours on the moon - John Harstad, 351p.

Fast read! A decent story but I was distracted by one point that just irks. All the astronauts in the story are referred by their last names except the female one. Who also happened to be the lieutenant and second in command. UGH. I wonder if that was the author, editor, or the fact that it was a Scandinavian novel which I read as translated English? No matter it was still a nice break from recent reads on my list.

    25. Fifty Shades of Grey - E.L. James
    26. Fifty Shades Darker - E.L. James
    27. Fifty Sades Freed - E.L. James

OK, had no desire to read this series. None. Wasn't going to give myself the satisfaction of giving in to the hype. The only reason I didn't want to read them (I know, I know), wasn't going to be one those girls. Hated the one Twilight book I read, hated the 'popularity' of the series. Having read erotic both bad and good in my opinion it held no interest from that angle. Plus so many folks in the critic field were saying how bad it was 'written'.

Spent a weekend up at a friends cabin, the only other girl there she asked me to read it just have someone to talk about it with. I believe very strongly that there are only two reasons to finish a book. You love to read and you want to share your reading with others. So I picked it up. The books were fine, very very romantic and only a bit cheesy. Had no problem with the over use of dialogue but to be honest the book is ALL about a relationship why not have all dialogue. Eh, I liked them just fine and a bit more than #24.

    28. Divergent - Veronica Roth, 487p.

This is easily the best book I've read this year. Fantastic! The characters are strong, the plot isn't filled with holes that you ignore. There aren't gaping holes where you think to yourself, huh the author had to have that character do that to further the story line.

    38. Will Grayson, Will Grayson - John Green, Audio Book.

Absolutely Fantastic! Loved every minute of it.

    39. The Host - Stephanie Meyer, 455p.

It wasn't bad. I enjoyed the story line. The female characters bug me enough to not recommend it to anyone but as a book I was asked to read sure. I felt, a fair shake was had.

    40. The Twelve - Justin Cronin, 568p.

    Pretty darn good.

    41. The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency - Alexander McCall Smith, Audio Book.

Entertaining, not into mystery so much but I did enjoy the strong female centered story. It would be a great book for a teenage girl.

    42. Necromancing The Stone - Lish McBride, 342p.

Second of the series and very urban and funny! Oh some of the dialogue is killer. I'd recommend to most folks.
