    looking for eternal life

Just read the following from Alastair (volunteer from www.helpx.net) :

"Ever read the epics of Gilgamesh? Either way, there's a bit in this old Sumerian/Babylonian myth where Gilgamesh, our protagonist, is looking for eternal life.

As he seeks he is told

Gilgamesh, the life you seek you will never find.
Enjoy yourself always by day and by night,
Gaze on the child who holds your hand,
Let your wife enjoy your repeated embrace.
For these, and these alone, are the concerns of men."

    Nice, Grant.

Seeking is a mental activity. That's why it's a life you will never find.

Enjoying is an in-the-moment experience each of us has the power to create.

    Warm regards,

    Janet

Life is eternal, as the Soul that you are!
Some times people seek things that they don't realize they already have.

A humorous line in the heading of our local newspaper read:
People seek eternal life, yet they don't know what to do on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

These and these alone are the concerns of Men: ( First discussion) Before and up to the age of 31, That was all that concerened me along with other devious things. Then I found out that there was such a thing as eternal Life. I haven't been the same sense, for those that take the things of God so lightly. Angie: No, you don't have eternal life when did you get it? That is really funny about the Sunday afternoon. The difference is eternal life there will be no end to it. http://.google.com/profiles/109344174867490513201

A minute is man's doing, in the eturnity or kingdom of God, there is no minute to divide. God is infinite (lacking limits or bounds, endless, immeasurable, very great, vast, immense, something infinite- as time.

be spiritually aware that carnal things are not spiritual things
    http://worshipwiththetruth.blogspot.com
God is calling His people to be true Covenant people in order to achieve this goal all must name their sins to God in prayer in the Name of His Son then be baptized this is called the true baptism of the Holy Ghost.

Very interesting: I beg to differ with you, could you find me a verse outside of The Acts -Jude that says carnal things are not spiritual things. When Nicodemus used the example of a birth of a baby in St John 3;4 it was a good time for Jesus to say you can't use that example it is carnal. He didn't. Jesus said that Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. He is speaking of a carnal experience.

But if the born again experience doesn't happen to you, you won't be able to understand what it means. St Matthew 13;11 He answeared and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them (unsaved) it is not given. Jesus spoke in allegory parables which is no help, but Ezekiel revealied what it means to be born again and receive the Holy Ghost, it happened to me without water. 36;26-25-27 and it is carnal. 26 (Sin is in the heart) A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit (Holy Ghost)will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart (the one your born with) out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. (from God)

If you led a life like I led, and if you think I could began to remember all my sins your crazy. Baptism in water is not essential, it only gets you wet, along with the sacraments. The only thing, these things do is keep the money coming in. The true baptism of the Holy Ghost is the same as Jesus received when He was baptized by John (in water) God knew that when Jesus came up out of the water His first breath He would have his mouth open and that was when the Holy Ghost entered His mouth and it went down His throat. It never lighting on Him as the Bible says. St Matthew 3;16 Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: St Matthew 20;23
