Knowing and understanding cause and effect one discovers or derives from principle or the natural law governing all phenomena. This is the purpose of all physical sciences, to discover cause and effect so that they may produce more efficient materials, processes, and bring about progress to society. However, Politicians and Economists (Political and Economic scientists if we may call them so), are known and heard for their unspeakable silence about the cause of poverty and what is happening in society today because of the abject poverty of the masses. The question propounded by Henry George in his book "Progress and Poverty - An inquiry into the cause of Industrial Depression and of Increase of Want with Increase of Wealth" first published in 1879. Although he was able to show that Monopoly, any monopoly for that matter, but most especially the monopoly of "Land - the whole material universe outside of man and his products." is the cause of the unequal distribution of wealth, and therefore, the cause of (involuntary) poverty, and this book was hailed worlwide and translated into many languages. John Dewy said: "It is the thorough fusion of insight into actual facts and forces, with recognition of their bearing upon what makes human life worth living that constitutes Henry George one of the world's great social philosopher.
