Greetings friends,
I will be signing my debut novel Corporate Coner Boyz at the Harlem Book Fair!!! The books aren't available in the stores until Aug 1st! So you might want to grab a copy now!!! See you at the Urban/Q-Boro Booth!!!
Corporate Corner Boyz Synopsis:
Christopher Black, a.k.a. Chief, is feared in the hood of North Philadelphia and known as a vicious hustler who will step on any man who gets in the way of his cash flow. Brandon, his right hand man, is an Ivy League graduate who left the project mentality behind for fast cars, fast women, and Armani suits.
Together they form Indigo Records, a lucrative recording company that goes from lukewarm to hot in a matter of a year by serving platinum artists from around the country.Chief and Brandon's friendship is simple; Chris watches Brandon's back in the streets and Brandon watches Chris's in the boardroom.
But things begin to unravel when Brandon meets Mia, a top model from the suburbs of Philadelphia whose beauty has graced the covers of many a glamour magazine. However, keeping Mia on his arm becomes an expensive endeavor for Brandon, leaving him with an almost non-existent bank account and a condo in foreclosure.Vows of friendship are tested when the streets, sex, and greed force the long-time friends to choose between success and loyalty.
About the Author:
Anya Nicole was born and raised in Philadelphia. Realizing as a child that both her household and neighborhood was plagued with drugs and crime, Anya strived to break the mold and became the first person in her family to graduate from college. As an adult, Anya became driven to help the same community in which she could have easily become a product of. She currently counsels young adults at an alternative program who have dropped out of high school and are seeking a GED. Anya believes that it is her responsibility to help young people realize their full potential.
Writing has always been Anya's way of relieving the pain in which she has seen around her. As early as the age of fourteen, she has always kept a journal of poetry and short stories by her side. Her debut novel Corporate Corner Boyz is Anya's way of showing the world that not all hustling is illegal. When you're educated and from the streets, you have the best of both worlds. Anya thanks Mark Anthony and the Q-Boro staff for blessing her with the opportunity to share her talents with the world. Anya continues to live in Philadelphia and is currently working on her next novel.
Available in bookstores nationwide July 29th!
