Did you provide a comment with the combination request to explain more about it? I've just taken a look at those works, and to me it looks like the 'snippets' are not the complete work. We don't combine partial works with the complete work, so that's probably why it has been rejected. I've also visited the link you provided, and it seems to be saying the same thing - the snippets are chapters within a larger work, and don't have the same content.

I sort of understand what you're saying but at the same the time, it's not like these 'snippets' are part of a present/future novel or something, it's just one novella-type free read online filled with snippets that the author provided for us after the series ended. I'll just leave it as it is even if I don't fully get why it *shouldn't* be combined.

      Thanks for answering.

Is it possible to read one of these snippets without reading the others? I don't really know if this explains it or not, but if I was to read one snippet but not the rest, I might want to only have that one snippet on my shelf, but not the others. Just a thought.

The abiding rule for combining editions is that they contain the same content.
