That is most likely the case. I've found I have better luck in searches leaving out all punctuation, especially apostrophes.

My experience is the same as Ripley's. So I concur with the above view.

And thanks for the information about omnipresence of Alvaro Obregon in the literature about Mexican Revolution. I was thinking about starting on the subject after reading Mariano Azuela's The Underdogs. Can you suggest the best book to start with?

The characters are linked together when they have the exact same spelling (including any special characters).

      Amanda,

That explains why there are two sets of pages for the person Alvaro Obregon, one set without the accent, and one with the accent. But that still doesn’t explain my question. On the list of books above, I entered the character Alvaro Obregón in each of the books. The names are all spelled the same. Yet, with the exception of just one book, if you click on the name Alvaro Obregón on any of the books listed, you get a page that says the character exists on only one book. All nine books should appear on the list.

In other words, go to the first book on the list, The Last Caudilo

Look at the list of characters, and you will see Alvaro Obregón. If you click on the name there, you would expect to see a list of books that includes at least The Last Caudilo. But that is not the case. The list says that character exists only in the book: The Wind That Swept Mexico.

It is the same for the next book, Border Conflict.

Look at the list of characters there, and you will see Alvaro Obregón spelled the same way. Click on the name there, and you get a list of just one book: The Wind That Swept Mexico.

How come The Last Caudillo and Border Conflict do not appear on the list?

That’s why I think there is some sort of error going on.

Thanks for the examples Ray! I'll pass this onto our engineering team to look into.
