Oh yeah. Thanks for the URL. I'm so bookmarking that. Right now, TV Land is showing them in order at (I think) 5 am. They are only up to The Naked Truth as of today. My DRV is full of all kind of Trek.

I don't know that I'm ready to pick a favorite. I haven't seen most of them in almost 20 years. I can tell you I hate "Where No Man Has Gone Before." It was so awful.

Why was 'Where No Man' so awful? I quite liked that episode and it was certainly very exciting when I first watched it back in 1968.... as were most of the Original Series episodes. My most favourite episode was Amok Time. After that it's Journey to Babel. And in the animated episodes, I particularly liked Yesteryear. Does anyone see a pattern emerging? LOL!

"Where No Man" was obviously filmed first if not aired first. The uniforms were different and they hadn't got the kinks worked out of the story line. The worst was my dear Spock. His eyebrows were extra steep and he was YELLING orders on the bridge. The unforgivable thing was when he tells Kirk "It's not my fault one of my ancestors mated with a human." Oh man, I was annoyed at such disrespect to his beautiful and elegant mother.

I wasn't born yet when TOS was first run, but I was head-over-heels about Spock as a kid in the 80's. Thank God for Next Gen making me not such a weird little kid.

Oh, yes, I see what you mean now. It does seem strange that Spock is emoting all over the place. Where No Man was originally the pilot that sold the series. The other was The Cage which eventually got sandwiched into Menagerie. I think that the new Movie by JJ Abrams is going back to a more emotive Spock. At least in one of the pics I've seen Spock has a hand around Kirk's throat...and it doesn't look too friendly.

I can understand the impulse to strangle Kirk on occasion ;-)

Most episodes I walk away thinking "Too much Kirk"

For me, the best thing is the Spock-McCoy relationship. Because they are both scientists with vastly different outlooks on life, they bring out the best in each other.

Have you seen the new trailer? It's out now. I liked Kirk in the series. It's only in the movies that he seemed to change into something embittered by life and experience. I hope the new movie changes that. My favourite character is Spock, followed by McCoy but they wouldn't be what they are without Kirk.

I respect Kirk. He is a great leader. After reading "Best Destiny", I feel closer to Kirk then I ever have.

It's the ego and the womanizing I just can't deal with. He takes himself so seriously.

Oh, and the V-neck uniform tops. :-p

Did you see the Comedy Central Roast of The Shat? It was really dirty, but very funny too.

I saw some of it but I'm not in the U.S.A. Mainly it was the telephone call with Leonard Nimoy.

The timing was a bit bad. George Takei had just recently come out of the closet when it was done. About half the jokes were "Sulu is gay" references. It got very old.

I think I missed the Nimoy phone call. I'll be trying to find a copy on DVD now. I love watching the documentary shows he narrated, "In Search of..." and "Ancient Mysteries". Geek heaven, really - weird documentaries with Spock talking to us.

I understand that Shatner has a new programme up and running Shatner's Raw Nerve. He's interviewing Leonard Nimoy on 6th January. I think it's on the Biography Channel if you have that. There's also something called Captain's Log and the 25 Anniversary Special.
