Coincidences
Was just watching Star Trek V and noticed the "God Planet" on the enterprise screen looked a lot like the Solaris planet in Soderberg's movie. The whisps of energy are blue and semi circling the planet, not as intricate as the CG Solaris but fairly similar. Wonder if the person who visualized CG Solaris took the "Godplanet" as inspiration.
