*sigh* yes, I really enjoyed the first book and I've heard that the series gets back on track in The Last Echo so I will stick with it.

Finished The Darkest Lie - "Gideon Speak" takes some getting used to but overall its an enjoyable addition to the series.

Finished Serpent's Kiss - the focus is on the romance rather than the action. While some readers may find the lack of chills and thrills disappointing, the strength of Rune and Carling's relationship is what makes this book a worthwhile read.

Yeah kind of. That's a pretty good description. There's a gentle mystery in there, it was very humourous, there's a sexy alpha mountain man type, and I just loved the Alaskan setting. Think 'Men in Trees' with werewolves.

I finally finished The Awakening and The Struggle, Vampire Diaries.... I am not sure if it is because I am a huge fan of the TV series or not... But I had such a hard time getting through the books.. They are sooo different, I didn't care for it. I may give it another try, after the TV series is completely over.

I am still reading Hush Hush, I am about half way through it.. I am not sure what I think about it yet...

I am also listening to Moon Called and really enjoying it. It is my first audio book and I will definitely be listening to more in the future. I can't wait to get in my car for the commute to and from work now!

I am starting a group read for 50 Ways to Hex Your Lover, first book in the Hex series by Linda Wisdom.

I am next in line at the library for both the audiobook for the second book in the Mercedes Thomspon series, Blood Bound and then the ebook for When Beauty Tamed the Beast by Eloisa James. I will start those, as soon as they become available.. In the mean time, I may start Tithe, first book in the A Modern Faerie Tale series by Holly Black or Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister by Gregory Macquire. I am not sure which...

Finished Kiss of Midnight by Lara Adrian, I really enjoyed the beginning of this series. Though I did get a little bored with the "I want you, but can't have you" scenario, as well as the woman's fight to get her man as he fights his own desires. But it is worth reading, and had me turning the page to see what happened next.

Just read The Breed Next Door, a short story by Lora Leigh, and am now starting Kiss of Crimson the next in the Midnight Breed series.

My daughter turned me on to the City (Mortal Instruments) books. She was first introduced to the authors works while on vacation in Phoenix, she purchased a signed first edition of her Clockwork (Infernal Devices) books. Once she blew through those, she had to move on to the Mortal Instruments books. She's in love with Cassandra Clare. lol. I'm looking forward to starting on these soon, having already finished the Infernal Devices series.

I finally read The Pearl Savage, which has been at the top of my TBR for a while. Loved it! To some extent, more a sci fi / fantasy book, but a strong element of romance, although it didn't entirely play itself out in this book - I'm assuming it will in the next one in the series (which fortunately, I already have!). Tamara (who is an active member here on Shelfari) built a fascinating world (a dystopian future earth) and set of characters, and I can't wait to read the next one (I'm trying to pace myself a bit, or I would have already finished it).

Similarly, Demon Possession sucked me right in, and I raced through it, pretty much in one sitting. Also a strong sci fi element, set primarily on a merchant spaceship and with a bunch of different races. The romance was hot, hot, hot - I loved both the heroine and the demon hero! And book 2 is very near in my future! Unfortunately, I felt I had to knock a bit off my rating for some poor grammar and word choices - there were enough points when I felt "well, that's not what that word means" that it was a bit jarring, although it wasn't so much that it ruined the book for me. Too bad, as it was otherwise a 4-star read.

Finished Buckhorn Beginnings By Lori Foster - ★★★★★
Oh my god both stories were so good, they have the funny the hot men & strong women in this series it's so good i loved reading every page.
    I am loving this seires.

Sawyer is so awesome,i just loved his story ,it had a good plot and i just love all the Hudson brothers , I really like Honey she's pretty cool ,i loved seeing her & Sawyer fall in love ,it was such a good story .

Morgan's story was awesome ,he's kinda dark and brooding but that's one of the things they make you love his character all the more, Misty is pretty funny and i thought it was great she & Morgan react to each other, there is so much chemistry between them ,it was great to see it unfold .

Another great one by Lori Foster ,i love her work so much .

This book was so awesome ,both stories were so so good.

Gabe is so funny i just fell in love with him from the begining ,i loved seeing him interact with Lizzy it was just great ,they are so different but they just make the perfect couple, great story.

Jordan is such an interesting character that i was so happy that i got to know him more in this story ,I loved seeing him be a total cave-man with Georgia ,it was just so funny since he had never acted like that before ,great plot i was really happy to read his story .

I loved getting to see all the brothers interact, it's just so funny when they are all together ,and seeing each of them fall in love was great.

I loved this seires ,every story keeps you wanting more,Foster just writes characters that how so many different sides to them that you can always find something that you can relate to .

Finished the first Fifty book as well as the second and am now on the third. The first one I read pretty quickly. The second wasn't so much a page turner but I liked it because it had more plot. I am now totally desensitized to the sex and am getting a little tired (insert eye roll) of the sappiness, but I am still enjoying the story. Christian's personality has captured me and I am actually appreciating Ana now that she is a little more confident. We'll see what book three brings.
Oh, I am curious who some of you have pictured in your minds eye as Christian? I saw Sharon's avatar of Gabriel Aubry and for some reason that image (and his CFM look) has just stuck in my head of what I picture Christian to be.

That happens with a series that has so many books that cover different characters i think. There will always be one or two books that dont make the grade. For example, Lover Enshrined in the BDB series. Everytime i see it i say "Ugh." So far, Im liking the Midnight Breed series. The only thing I dont like is the entire alien aspect to it. In Kiss of Crimson, im liking Harvard. We will see how the rest of the book goes.

I know Jessica! Lover Enshrined was definitely "Ugh" inducing... I think it was Midnight Awakening for me in the Midnight Breed series.. I am almost caught up on both series.. I just have to read the most recent books out for each... I love both series.

P.S. I thought the alien aspect in the Midnight Breed series was different and I really like it... I wasn't sure how I thought about it at first... But you will see, it is deifinitely further explored/expanded as you get further in the series...

The alien aspect didn't appeal to me at first. I thought it was kind of a cop out blaming it on the aliens but after reading more books and learning more about the Breed and their origins, I began to enjoy this aspect and thought it was really original. The way it all comes together in the most recent book Darker After Midnight is very clever and I can't wait to see where Adrian takes it in the next book.

Thanks ladies, its good to know that the alien aspect isnt just a background story. I am looking forward to seeing how she explores it more. So far, i'm liking Midnight Awakening. Of course, Tegan is going back and forth like any other warrior character does but he is still very likeable. Elise, i love. She is strong and daring. yeah, she questions feelings but only Tegans based on his behavior. She knows what she feels. Should be done with that book tonight.

Finished Forever by Stiefvater. The last installment to this wonderfull series. This last book had it all. I enjoyed the development of Cole. He struggled so much in his life to just disappear behind a personna he didnt even like and became a smart young man that allowed himself to care for others. The relationship between Grace and Sam was great. Sam matures nicely through the book. It was heartbreaking at the end of the book when Sam needed Grace so much and actually asked her to Help him. The book did end strangely with characters stories just ending. Not really any closure, but I guess thats how life is sometimes. One minute they are here and the other they arent, leaving us with unanswered questions and feelings. You can still love the moment and the person though, and I did in this book.

Now, on to book 4 of the Midnight Breed series.

Started reading Night Season by Eileen Wilks (World of the Lupi: Book 4) last night. I don't know how I forgot about this series. I'm about half way through and we've got magic, warewolves, tattooed magicians, sex, romance. It's been really good (though I was confused as hell for the first 20 pages or so. It all worked out though).

Dragon Kin: This series was recommended by a friend and I'm really enjoying it. Love the storyline, the characters and the writer has a wicked sense of humor. So far, I'm enjoying this series the most out of all the others I've read this month. I definitely recommend it. :)

Dark Sword: not sure how I feel about this series yet. I've only read book 1 so far but I have a feeling it's going to be a keeper. I'll let you know.

Finished Tangle Of Need By Nalini Singh - ★★★★★
Oh my god it was so freaking awesome ,i love this series if i could give it more then 5 stars on here i would .

I loved getting to read Riaz & Adria's sotry ,it was just so good , Riaz is so hot and primal he just gives you the shivers Mmm he really is a great character and you could feel his pain with the whole mate thing , & Adria is really cool ,she's one tough chick and i felt so bad for her ,the fact that in a way her & Riaz's pain is what brought that together was a interesting turn for the story and the attraction between the two steamy that i had to fan myself , there wasn't one thing that i didn'y love about this book it's just pure awesomeness:)

I also loved that we got to see alot of the other characters from the other books in the seires ,it's great to catch up with them again, and then getting to see new points of views from Aden & Vasic was great i really hope that they both get their own books soon , i loved reading about Kaleb he's such an interesting character - i really want to learn more about him , this series is one of my favs of all time and i can't wait to read the next book. MUST READ.

I think i might read One For The Money By Janet Evanovich.

I started Tangle of Need by Nalini Singh, but put it up for now. I only got to the second chapter and I was drifting when I read, having to re-read paragraphs. I've never had one of her books do that for me, so I'm hoping it's just me being distracted with other things. I'm going to head out to the library tomorrow and get the fourth book in the Midnight Breed series by Lara Adrian. For now I'm reading Forbidden Fantasies.

The first half really dragged. But, at about the halfway mark, it suddenly got interesting with non-stop action. Of course, it ended with a cliff-hanger. ★★★☆☆ 1/2

Just finished Tangle of Need, it wasn't one of my favorites of the psy/changeling series. I ended up loving Riaz and Adria, but it took forever to get to their story, with a lot of Hawke; Sienna; and the psy "civil war" taking up most of the chapters. If I had to guess, I would say Riaz and Adria didn't even get half of the book dedicated to them. I'm not sure what her next book is about, but I think it's the Feline's turn. Next read is going to be Veil of Midnight by Lara Adrian.

Finished Caught By Lori Foster - ★★★
It was good , not my fav from her but i still enjoyed reading both stories.

    Taken
The plot was ok but i found this story a little lacking , i liked Dillon he was cool and i understand why he was doing what he was doing but i still don't like seeing others use people , Virgina is a bit of a tight ass and i don't really care for her character i mean she really bossy and she orders people around , there were some funny parts when Dillon kidnapped Virgina , the other thing i didn't care for was that she and some of the other characters kept putting her down because she is a little over weight ,i didn't care for that at all .

    Say Yes
I liked this one the plot had a bit of the cheese factor but it was still fun to read, Gavin is so funny i really liked him, and Sara was ok again i didn't much care for her character ,some of the things she does i didn't like, i didn't really see what gavin saw in her , there were some really funny parts in the story and i enjoyed this one more then the 1st story in the book.

Overall it's an alright book but not my fav .

Finished Alpha By Rachel Vincent - ★★★★★
Wow it was so good and sad at the same time , i don't think a series has had me in more tears then this one , This is one intense emotional rollercoaster ride and has been since i read the 1st book in the series, it's sad to see it end but what a wild ride it was .

I have a love/hate thing for Faythe and i totally understand some of the things she's had to do but at the same time i don't think i would have made some of the choice's she made , And i love Marc but at times it's like he turns into someone else and i don't care for some of the things he does in this book , i can understand where he's coming from but it's still hard to read, And then there's Jace who i fell in love with from the start ,i known how he's felt about Faythe from the first time i saw them together and i understand how they did what they did ,who wouldn't look for comforrt where ever the could find it ,they weren't thinking they were feeling and i don't fault them for that, plus Jace just has something about him that just makes your forget about anything else , this may be wrong but i think i blame this whole mess on Faythe only because she didn't pick who she wanted to be with right after this whole thing started and it just made it harder on everyone , I kinda knew how this was gonna end and i do like how everything went for the most part but there's still some things i wish were different .

This series will break your heart and sew it back together and then rip it apart and sew it back up, i have never cried so much reading a book ,Rachel Vincent makes you love all these wonderful characters and makes you feel so much emotion and makes your heart hurt for these people ,but in the end she made a wonderful world and Kick ass characters that you will never forget ,they will always live on in your heart . one of these best series i have ever read .

Now i know why it took me 2 years to finally pick this book up and read it ,it's so heartbreaking to see a series end .

God i have no clue what i'm gonna read next i'm just so sad to series the Shifters series end , i am so crying right now and i like never cry .

Finished The Secret Life Of Bryan By Lori Foster - ★★★★
It was great ,there were some really funny parts and i really liked the characters.

Bryan is so funny i just love him ,he was great when he was pretending to be his brother , and he sounds pretty hot .

Shay was pretty great too ,i loved that she was mistaken for a hooker it was so funny , i loved how she met Bryan it was so great and i really liked how their relationship came about .

The one thing about this book was that i pretty much knew who was the one trying to hurt them ,it was pretty easy to firgue out who was behind everything ,but i still enjoyed reading this book ,i needed something light and fun .

and Bruce was really funny in this book i can not wait to read his story .

I think i might read either When Bruce Met Cyn By Lori Foster or Undertow By Cherry Adair .

My faves so far were book 2 (Briec) and book 3 (Gwenvael). I like how the author keeps all of the characters, introduced in each book, involved in each story as the series progresses. And how their stories intermingle with the main characters of each book you read. And I especially love the author's sense of humor, especially during very tense moments. If you decide to read them, hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

Finished Undertow By Cherry Adair - ★★★★★
It was pretty good ,i wasn't for sure how much i was gonna like it at first because it took about 50 pages to get into it but after that i really enjoyed reading it.

I love Zane he's so awesome he was so fuuny and you can't help but love him .

Teal was cool too but there were times where i justed wanted to shake her .

I really liked how her and Zane's relationship came about, they make each other better in different ways and it was great too see them fall in love.

There was one thing that i didn't like was that it kinda had 2 stories lines with the same people ,i mean first there was the whole thing with someone messing with their ship and trying to sink it and after that was sloved a little bit after half way into the book then there this whole alphachip thing where they have to find it or everything's gonna blow up , i really think she should have stuck with the first storyline ,but other then that it was a good book .

Up next is Riptide By Cherry Adair and The Golden Lily By Richelle Mead , not sure which one i was to read first

It is a series about a teen girl who discovers she is a witch. It was so good ,there were some really funny parts and i loved the plot .

Nick Cutter is super yummy and i just fell in love with his character ,it was great to read his book ,i really liked him in book 1 and i loved how he is with Bria it was just get to see them together.

Bria was cool and i liked how she reacted to Nick it was so funny to see them together ,at first i wasn't sure how much i would like her but as the book when on i really liked seeing her and nick's story unfold .

I also loved getting to know Jonah he seems like a great character and i really want him to get his own book .fingers crossed :).

There was only one thing i wished the book had and that was Nick interacting with his brothers Logan and Zane ,they weren't in this book at all and i was really looking forward to seeing them all together .

I really loved this book and overall it was a fun read

Finished When Bruce Met Cyn By Lori Foster - ★★★★★
It was so awesome ,i loved every moment of this book ,i could not put it down.

Bruce is just plain awesome and super hunky and really funny ,i loved every moment of his book.

Cyn was pretty great too ,she's really funny and i just loved how her mind worked when she thought of bruce ,it was just great.

I loved seeing her and Bruce fall in love with each other ,it was just great seeing their story unfold , i also loved all the parts with Jamie,Scott and Alyx they are such great characters that i can not wait to read more about them .

I love this series ,Foster has done it again and made me fall endlessly in love with her characters and the world she's created .

Now onto Just A Hint Clint By Lori Foster.

Clint is totally awesome ,he's just got this vibe about him that makes you wanna know what's gonna happen ,such a great character i loved reading about him .

Julie was pretty great too ,i loved that she loosed up alot since the start of the series ,she was great in this book and i think her and Clint are totally prefect for each other .

I also loved meeting Red & Mojo they were both great characters , Loved getting to see jaime and Joe again but i kinda wished that they had more of the other characters from this other books in this one, they didn't really show them at all .

Loved this book it was super funny and just a really fun read ,every book in this seires has been fun reading .

Finished Jamie By Lori Foster - ★★★★★
Oh my god Jamie's book was so awesome ,i love this series.
i could not put this book down it was so good.

Jamie has been such an interesting character from book 1 that it was so awesome to see things for his point of view , He is so hunky and funny (sigh),but he also has something about him that makes him such a great character to read about, His story was so good and sad at the same time all the stuff he had to go through was just awful .

Faith was so cool i loved her character right off the bat ,she was a bit of a mystery at first but once you got to know her you understood where she was coming from .

I loved every moment with Jamie & Faith ,they are totally perfect for each other and i just loved watching this story unfold . there were a few parts where i totally knew what was happening but there were still some surprises that were great.

Another awesome thing about this book is that we finally get to see more of Scott & Alyx ,i have been waiting to read more about them and i was kinda hopful that they would get their own book , but since they didn't i was glad that they had their story mixed with Jamie & Faith , Scott is just awesome and super funny the way he reacts to Alyx it's just great to read about them , Alyx is totally kick ass she's such a great character that i could not wait to read more about her , Alyx & Scott we're made for each other .

I still wished that Alyx & Scott had gotten their own book , but over all this series kicked major ass ,there was one book that i didn't full on totally love , Foster is one of the must read authors out there.

I think i might read Wicked Nights By Gena Showalter.

I'm looking forward to Samurai Game. It's been awhile since I've spent some time with the Ghostwalkers.
