Apocalypse Lovers

O.K. I admit it, I love post-apocalyptic novels. Anything where society has been forever altered whether it is plague, nuclear weapons, aliens, meteors or Good vs. Evil doesn't matter, I just love a good tale where everything has been re-imagined. Come join me and discuss your favorite and not-so-favorite apocalypse novels

any suggestions for these genre of books?

I have read 'The Stand' and 'Swan Song' and enjoy both stories, I was wondering if someone out there can offer me other suggestions for books of the same style to read??
    Thanks guys!!

The Howard Kunstler novel, "World Made by Hand" was pretty good and a pretty fast read for me

you had best put it at the top of the list in my eyes! It takes a while to get going with all the character build ups, but once you are there, it flies along & is very exciting.
A classic good vs. evil story

A Canticle for Leibowitz is one of my all time favorite apoca novels. It's by Walter Michael Miller- a fantastic read.

I just finished "Footfall" by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle. Fantastic alien invasion story. Apocalyptic in the sense that earth takes a pounding in this book, as well as in their other classic "Lucifer's Hammer". Both book are more than worth reading. I loved them.
