Apocalypse Lovers

O.K. I admit it, I love post-apocalyptic novels. Anything where society has been forever altered whether it is plague, nuclear weapons, aliens, meteors or Good vs. Evil doesn't matter, I just love a good tale where everything has been re-imagined. Come join me and discuss your favorite and not-so-favorite apocalypse novels

Haven't watched it yet... Figured I'd wait for DVD... Guess I'll have to avoid this thread until then...

It got some bad reviews, from both viewers and critics.

Shyamalan has an annoying intention to be the new Hollywood's Hitchcock. This film is an attempt to make a new "The Birds", but it doesn't work at all.

Not gonna watch any more annoying Shyamalan. Especially if he's doubling up with super-annoying Zooey Deschanel! I got triple-burned by the contrived 'plots' of Signs, The Village and Lady in the Water. No more! I am swearing off all his future works. I'd much rather save my pennies for HellBoy 2.

Even with the bad reviews, will probably watch when it's out on DVD. My husband has figured out EVERY Shyamalan movie twist well before the end of the film, so that really kills any desire to pay movie theatre prices.

As a writer and director he's always got some great seeds of creativity in his films, but we waited a long, long time before watching The Village and didn't even consider Lady in the Water. I think he's trying too hard now, and has lost his touch.

I watched it. I didn't think it was horrible. The acting was kind of bad...okay, pretty bad. I figured Marky Mark would have done a better job. Oh well. My nephew said he didn't want to watch people kill themselves for 2 hours. Okay, who DOESN'T want to watch that??? I wouldn't watch it again but I'm glad I saw it the first time.
