I read Gettysburg: A Testing of Courage in one day and loved it. I lent it to my brother who took a whole year to read it. He complained because it told him when everyone took a pee, poo, and sneezed. Oh well, some like it hot and some like it cold.

I have Battle Cry for Freedom and Sears' Gettysburg but have not read them yet. You may want to read American Scoundrel: The Life of the Notorious Civel War General Dan Sickles. It was wonderful!

Sears' Gettysburg is excellent, but I think that his Chancellorsville is better.

I am currently reading Confederates in the Attic, and will start The Shipwreck of Their Hopes probably tomorrow.
