    Technically there is a such thing as a vampire. Sure they aren't really immortal, or anything, actually, they are really weird, and perverted, but i like the mythical ones best!!

    Yea they are to me! Some historians have found real life accounts of vampires too. their coffins or their journals which are quite genuine. I was hurt that someone i knew very well said they aren't real.
    Maybe not real in physical sense, but vampires' emotions are also like ours. It can also be a metaphor.
    But i have to draw the line at authors who think it's a disease. that's just gross.

    all i can say is in every story u hear, in every myth and tales, there is always a grain of truth. so there may be vampires and they might be living right next to you. i mean how can someone just wake up one day and decided that there are beings who are extraordinary, undead and have majicks. it just sound too far fetched, so someone must have seen something. its not like they are gonna go around and say I AM A VAMPIRE!!! i may be a vampire, who knows.

    Well yes. I saw one in New Orleans once in Jackson Square. I was looking for any of the S. Kenyon vamps. Anyway.... This vamp wasnt immortal because it was 10 am and very daylight. He was available for pictures and his fangs were real. He said he has always had them but I suspected some Dentist work. :-)

      Well one thing that i think is that they aren't necisarilly "undead" cuz that'd mean that they were alivee

      Bella+Edward, Vampaneeze are from the series Cirque Du Freak...they are like the evil twins of vampires...they are basically the evil version of the good vampires in the Cirque Du Freak series

    Who says they aren't? Don't disillusion me!! ;) I like to believe they are real but like Strahd they are trapped in places like Barovia that are beyond my reach.

    Vampires are real but they are not like the version everyone knows about vampires. They are not immortal, they do not have super strength unless they work out a lot, they did not come back from the dead and it is not a disease. Although I love all those versions I do not believe they are true. I believe vampires are just like you and me they just have blood cravings instead of food cravings. But they can still eat food food. Of course I may be wrong. Please someone tell me if they agree with me.

    Maybe. I think they could be real but I haven't met any yet so I cannot be certain. There are definitely people that try to act like vampires, but I don't count them.

    I think there are clinical vampires who crave blood but doesn't have to drink blood in order to survive.They just like the taste.

    Vampires are as real as you and I. Of course they aren't immortal or anything like that, but there are people who drink blood and some that need blood to live. Read Blood Lust: Conversations With Real Vampires by Carol Page. That book will give you a lot of insight on vampires. I learned a lot about them from that book.

      I think that some may have 'powers' but I dont think if they just bite you that you will become one. I think they may have to do something a little different with the bite in order to turn you. I dont know wat they would have to do but that sounds right to me.

      All right just to warn people I change my mind a lot and add stuff to stuff ive already said a lot so bare with me here lol.

      I think that vampires are real they are not immortal but they are stronger and live a little longer than normal human beings and heal faster too. Some may have powers just like some humans may have powers but vampire powers are a little stronger. If they bite you you will not automatically turn into a vampire, they have to do something extra to turn you. They did not come back from the undead they are just born that way or turned. They do have bloodlust and need it to stay alive but they dont have to have it every day and they can eat regular food to sustain them for a very short time period. They do have super strength.

      See I cant even get my thoughts straight Im contradicting myself lol.

    I'm in the realm of belief that unless something has been proven to NOT exist, it may well exist.

    Though I don't really think there are immortals stalking the streets at night, history shows that most of the vampire mythos comes from Dracula, by Bram Stoker, who made up most of the myths in his book to fit the story.

    It's a romantic idea though, especially for those of us who find vampires attractive in their own malicious way, that a vampire COULD be out there, and we COULD become acquainted with them.

    As for the real life people who crave blood or claim to be "psychic vampires", it strikes me as very silly. I could claim to be the Emperoress of Japan, but as you'll notice, I'm not.

    I really don't have any backround on vampire history. But to me I say just because you cannot see something or haven't found it yet that it means that it is not real. I strongly believe that there are vampires out there. Like people have said, they may not be what the stories tell but they might be out thre. I truely hope one day that this does come true[while I'm still alive and young :].] and that not to the whole public. but a certain few can actually know the truth. STILL VERY STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT THEY EXIST! :D.
