Ireland and Scotland Travel Literature - recommendations?

Hello! Can anyone recommend some fun travel lit. for Scotland and Ireland? I am thinking along the lines of "Notes from a Sunburned Country" or "A Year in the Merde" but for Scotland and Ireland. I read The Princes of Ireland and nearly fell out of my reading chair of bordem - something to peak my interest in an entertaining way of these two places...some historical fiction is OK, but not a history book either!

I have a book on my shelf that I haven't yet read but intend to called On Celtic Tides by Chris Duff. It's about a guy who kayaked around Ireland. I picked it up on a whim.
