Help searching for a book
I'm looking for two books that I read during the 80's. I got both books at a school book fair so they are probably scholastic. The first one is called "13 is too young to die" and is about a 13 year old who gets some disease (all I remember is that she had black circles around her eyes like a raccoon). The other book I can't remember the title of (I think something with violets), it's about two little girls, one middle class to wealthy and one poor. I know it's during the polio scare and the rich little girl loses a ring at her birthday party. Both families end up poor and they find the ring in the hem of one of the girls dresses. If anyone knows anything about these books please let me know. I've been searching for years.
