Crossgenre

I read alot of literature that cross boundaries. Is it horror or science fiction. True "literature" or genre. I want to create a list of books that are hard to define but good nonetheless. Also graphic novels are welcomed.

My new novel is hard to pigeonhole
Started by Gaddy, Thursday, August 30 2007. Last post Saturday, September 1 2007.

Hello, all. My new novel, *Migration of the Kamishi,* is post-apocalyptic, and therefore science fiction, but is much like a quest-type fantasy, and also like a historical nature story. I think nature fans - people who like *Clan of the Cave Bear* - will be interested in this one, because the science has more to do with ecology than technology.

So Gaddy, thanks for joining the discussion. I have been out of it for a while but plan on getting it back up and running. Here is the question where in B&N or Borders do you want the book located. What independent book stores do you want picking it up? And finally, what types of bookgroups do you want discussing you're book. By the way when is it being published.

Well, *Migration of the Kamishi* is officially listed as "Fiction," so it would be in the "new releases" and/or "mainstream fiction" sections. Being post-apocalyptic, it is technically sci-fi, but again, it focuses so much on ecology, that it's not very "science-fictiony." My book is published by Flying Pen Press, and it was released on June 1, 2007. It is on the shelves in 2 independent bookstores here in the Denver area, but it is also available through Barnes & Noble and Amazon/Borders/Walden. You can order it online, or through any of these stores. Hopefully, it will soon be on the shelves in these stores, too. To answer your question of where I *want* this book to be located and who I want reading it, I would want people who are interested in nature, as well as religion, reading this.
