Crossgenre

I read alot of literature that cross boundaries. Is it horror or science fiction. True "literature" or genre. I want to create a list of books that are hard to define but good nonetheless. Also graphic novels are welcomed.

Let's pick a book and debate.

I orginally started this group because I want to find new books that perhaps I over looked because how they were catagorized. The easy way it seems to do that is to start with one book and see where that leads. so I throw out this challenge. find a book that can fit all genres.

How about Maus by Art Spiegelman? It's a graphic novel that has historical content and also won a Pulitzer for memoir.

I looked this up and there are a ton of Maus episodes out. Which one exactly would be recommended? I have not read either.

I haven't read that one, but I have been thinking about it. So that sounds good to me.

There are only two volumes of Maus as far as I know. Maybe there are several different editions? I have Maus: Part I, My Father Bleeds History, and Maus, Part II, And Here My Troubles Began. There is also a box set and a Complete Maus. I would just get the complete set becuase Maus is a fast read and you'll be so sucked in by the first half that you'll want the second immediately anyway.

The complete Maus sounds good to me. I am going o try the library first. At least in St. Louis, in the past year they have really gotten into graphic novels.
