Crime is a popular genre and there are a huge number of novels about crime published every year. Sorting through all of these books for the ones that try something new or put a new twist on an old plot can be challenging. This group will pick a new crime novel every month with the goal of introducing great new drama to the group.
We aren't too hung up on blurry genre boundaries, any book about crime be it a procedural, mystery or even some cases a thriller are all acceptable. As long as crime plays a central role to the book, it is probably a good match for the group. We will be trying to avoid authors that the members have already read in favor of bringing in new authors.
