More books have been written about chess than all other games combined. Reading a chess book generally takes longer than reading a work of fiction since the reader has to thoughtfully play through the games and variations or solve challenging problems.
This group will sort through the welter of chess books and identify those most worth the time required to read them. By sharing our experience, we can get better at playing or teaching chess in the most efficient way.
If you add a book to the main shelf, please make it one you have read and can personally recommend. Also, please write a short review and tell at what level of player (USCF rating) it is aimed.
