Hi, I'm new to the group. I just finished Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh, which technically is more sci-fi/paranormal romance than fantasy. Still great book. I'm also reading Dark Possession, by Christine Feehan.

How did you like Slave to Sensation? I just re-read the first two of her books because I'll be getting the third one soon. It's one of my new favorite series.

Loved it - in fact, I immediately went out to Nalini's homepage to check her other books and tell her how much I enjoyed it. Can't wait to read the others.

I was just looking over the posts and saw that in my last one I mentioned Jacob from Jacqueline Frank's Nightwalker series. Just have to say I really enjoyed that book!

Currently I am still reading The Seduction by Marilyn Wallace (non-romance for book group) and have also started the anthology Demon's Delight.

Sorry I'm so behind on the posts! Thanks for answering PNR! I did enjoy the anthology. I'm not a huge fan of MaryJanice Davidson but I really enjoyed this particular short story. I've read full length novels by all of these authors and this was a pretty good showcase for their talents.

I just received my copy of "Elijah" by Jacqueline Franks. I REALLY enjoyed "Jacob", but was a bit disappointed with "Gideon". It was still good, but not as fiery as the first selection in the Nightwalker series.

Well, I got started with Merry Gentry books, but didn't make it much past the first one. Got started with the Dark Hunters, but didn't make it past the third one. Something about those books didn't work with me. Loved Nina Bangs, except for the Pleasure Master, and LOVED the BDB books! I have some Kresley Cole books coming, and the second Atlantis book by Alyssa Day, plus a few dozen others sitting on my bookshelf and bedstead. I also like the vampire books, but I didn't really get into the Carpathians. Don't know why on that one either!

I can never find anything I want at the library. I went and looked for Twilight after you kept talking about it. The librarian had never heard of it. When I used to read mysteries I could always find them. They just don't stock para normal romance.

I'm reading the 4th book (Dangerous Games) in the "Riley Jenson guardian series" by Keri Arthur!

I admit the first book in the series was just a little slow going, but! They more you read the better it gets...

Each book after that gets better & BETTER! I so recommend you all read these!!!

I'm new to the group. just wanted to comment on Keri Arthur's Riley Jenson series - I immediately feel in love with them because they're different. There's a little bit of everything in them (weres, vamps, shifters, etc.) plus some new creatures. The endings are not predictable. I agree - highly recommended!

currently in the world of "Sabriel" a book of two lands and two worlds. there is the world of death containing 9 gates. then there is the world of life that contains the two lands; the old kingdom(which magic runs freely) and Anceltrial (spelling probly off) were magic wielders are few and far between. Unfortunantly i already read the second and third books in the trilogy so nothing in this first book is really a suprise...but then again familiarity isnt always a bad thing right?

I'm reading "Blood Brothers" by Nora Roberts, I'm really enjoying it- the whole demon aspect is done in a very original way. I just hate that the rest of the trilogy is being released so late!

I just finished Blood Brothers by Nora Roberts. She's diving right into the paranormal these days....used to be fairies and the occasional witch. She threw in a very sexy vampire last year.

I just read the coolest book! It's INTRODUCING SONIKA by Eilis Flynn, published by Cerridwen Press.

This book is awesome. Did you ever wonder what it would be like to put some romance into a superheroine's day? This story combines the comic book world with the complex characterization and love relationship of the romance novel. I'm hoping that this is the first in a series!

I just finished (*sush* don't tell!) ONE BITE STAND by Nina Bangs. This is the first by her I've read and it wasn't that bad. I tried reading A RED HOT NEW YEAR but really could not get into it (it's a collection of four erotic new year short stories). I did really enjoy Cynthia Eden's short, New Year's Bites, so I must keep my eyes on her.

Right now I can't decide between THE WARRIOR by Kinley MacGregor or HOLIDAYS ARE HELL (another short story collection with stories by Kim Harrison, Lynsay Sands, Marjorie M. Liu, and Vicki Petterson). I love Marjorie's work; she's the main reason I'm reading this one.

I just finished "Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night" by Kressley Cole (sp?). I can't quite figure out what the urban/old Scottish stuff does for people. When Bowen and Mari (a modern witch who wears "the patch.") are rolling around in lust, I was waiting for her to say, "Hey dude, hold up a second. You've got my two zip drives biting into my spine." I guess that's supposed to be the fun of it.

Just finished MOONSTRUCK by Susan Grant. I'm sort of in the middle of THROUGH THE VEIL by ... Oh darn, I forgot. Saskia Walker? I think that's right, but let me go check. Shiloh Walker! I remembered the Walker part, right?

I'm reading THROUGH THE VEIL by Shiloh Walker. Also, THE DRAGON'S NINE SONS by Chris Roberson, and so far it's slow slogging, because it's pretty hard alt-universe science fiction. Slog, slog.
