Reviews in shelfari are not automatically transferred to Amazon site. You must enter your review on both sites. Therefore copy to Amazon.

As I am a new member of Shelfari I was not aware of this until I asked a few minutes ago. If we are going to use Amazon's rating as criteria for inclusion in writers groups.
All readers/reviewers need to be reminded to copy over.

Good point, Bette. I just love it when a reader posts reviews for my books in both places. For us Indies, it's hard enough to get the wrod out.
On another topic, I'm not altogether comfortable with the star rating system. I wish Amazon would follow the NY Times' lead and not use the stars. I won't post a review unless I can give it 4 or 5 stars as I found that authors really resent getting less than that, although technically 3 stars is a good review. What do you think, Bette, and what does everyone else think?

The star system is a convention like any other. I'd rather have an honest review and do away with the stars, but it's Amazon's game and we either play by their rules or don't play at all. Mind you, there's nothing personal about my disagreement with the convention because I have no reason to complain.

Absolutely! It's just when I write a review I'd rather just write the piece and let the reader figure out if it's for them or not.
But, hey, as you say, it's Amazon's system and people love the stars!
