What are some of you doing at your libraries for Banned Book week? What kind of displays are you doing? I'm looking for ideas.

    Hi Miranda,

This is old but might be useful:

Thanks for the link. In the end I ended up using some ideas I got off the ALA site. I work in a community college library and the students were really into the displays we went with. They were really shocked when they saw some of the books that were banned and challenged. It was a lot of fun.

    Miranda,

I'm glad you enjoyed it :) lol, I remember how shocked I was myself a couple of years back when I looked at some of the banned books list too :D

When I was a high school librarian, my students loved Banned Book Week so much we just turned it into Banned Book Month! I had a large display case that I filled with banned titles and included an index card next to each book stating why/when/where the book was challenged or banned. Since a large portion of those books were classics that they had to read in school (and loved, I might add), it always got a great response!
