I've read The Road and was awed by that book. I have Blood Meridian as well as The Reader's Guide to the book, but haven't read it yet. I understand it is one of his darkest read based on true events near the Texas-Mexican border during the 1850's. I am interested in reading more of his works--just haven't gotten there yet.
Tried to read the road and gave up on the second chapter. Not sure what other people see . Watched the movie no country for old men, found it a little interesting but not enough to try any other work. Have a shelfari friend who is nuts about cormac and insists his best work is the border trilogy. Too any good writers to read for me to try anymore.
I'm also big fan of Cormac's. His best in my opinion and several others i know is Blood Meridian. But try Child of God first, a shorter novel which hooked me onto him. Worth the effort.
Will do, with trepidation:)
