  Group read?

  It's been some time since we had a Quarterly read...the interest level had dropped quite a bit and it seemed like only a couple of people were reading and discussing. Is anyone interested in doing one again for the July-Sep Quarter?

  The book chosen might make me read something. The idea of waiting to discuss it though makes me less likely to participate. I have too many other books to read, that it is hard to go back and look at a book I read a couple of months back.

    The problem with discussion of non-fiction is there are rarely pre-printed discussion points so I can't post until I've read the book. I could read the book as soon as it's voted upon and then post the discussion so people can join in as they finish. Would that work better for you?

  I've seen some other groups that just discuss non-fictions books chapter by chapter, maybe that would work?

    I guess it would depend on the book...oftentimes the theme would be spread over more than one chapter so it might be hard to discuss. On the other hand, it would be easier on me. Okay, I'll start a new post and we'll see where we get with it.
