  Does This Count?

  I have written one and a half short stories. I am currently in the middle of writing my second. If i havent written a book, can i still be in this group? All of you sound like amazing writers, but i feel out of place.

  Shelfari is primarily a readers site, or maybe I should say a site for people interested in books.
  This particular group and a few others tend to focus more on writing.

  Hey, I feel kind of unworthy to be a writer, especially after reading some great book written by some great writer - or in my case, two authors (I'm looking forward next May). Anyway, by reading other people's works, whether they are good or bad, I think they can give me a lesson or two about writing a better piece.

  Hi Colorado,

  I don't know who sets the rules, but we're all writers here! A lot are unpublished, some published. I'm one of the published ones and I give as much advice to aspiring writers as I can on here about writing and the industry.

  I think as long as you write and read you can join in.

  I've only written one short story and I'm here, so you deserve to be here. This group is a little intimidating, though, what with such accomplished writers - I guess all newbies are feeling out of place.
