How to remove "Getting Started" text from "What's New" page?

    Hi

The what's new page says "Once you add your books and friends, this page will show what your friends are reading, activity in your books and other important announcements." And then there's a nice and helpful "Getting Started" text. Now, when I added my books and friends, I'd like to remove this text as the whole system is a more familiar to me. How can I do that?

Add one more friend :). I believe we set it up to go away once you've added more than 2 friends and more than 5 books. It looks like you have 2 friends and 161 books.

I never thought that something like that would be a reason to look for friends :)))

So you are saying that those of us who have decided to use shelfari as a book resource instead of a "myfriendface" type of site must be penalized by being forced to look at the Getting Started page with no other way to rid ourselves of it?

Can we add the three "friends" to satisfy that requirement and then delete them again and still keep the Getting Started page from showing up again?

Well the idea behind the numbers was to keep it available until one has a chance to get familiar with the site, and then have it go away kind of "at the right time".

Clearly for someone with 161 or 1200+ books it should probably have gone away, so maybe the rules need a bit more tuning.... we wanted to avoid having to add a setting to hide it.

You might consider an idea of how long a particular person is the site member...
