Same thing on the iPad, it just loops the login page over and over and nothing seems to work. I cleared all the data off of Safari and Chrome and still couldn't log on.
iPad you don't need Mobile Shelfari... It runs the normal site.
I think I have sourced the problem. I can get in on my old G2 Touch but not my G4. I think it is to do with ios 6. I don't know how or why but if I can get in on my old touch and not my new updated one I think I have found the problem. Please could a mod acknowledge this and look into it? Marcella-Louise is your ipad updated tpp ios 6?
iOS 6 and iPads have nothing to do with it. I've been using Shelfari on my iPad after updating. However, I do not use the Mobile site on my iPad. I have also used the mobile site on my iTouch after updating. As long as your accounts are linked to Amazon, there should not be a problem.
I run iOS 6 and I'm getting the same problem and I don't use the mobile website and my account is linked to Amazon. I've been having the issue for a while even when I was running iOS 5
FYI - only Amazon-linked Shelfari accounts can use m.Shelfari.com

I have been able to use it fine previous, and I can use it fine on my old touch.
Just for the sake of dotting i's and crossing t's I am pressing the link to link my account. It takes me to an amazon sign in page where I dutifully sign in (this is on my lap top) and it tells me my email password combo is wrong. When I know its right. I think there is a bug here.
Then that is an issue with the Amazon login. You must contact Amazon since it appears to be an issue on their side. I would also try changing your password back to what you think it should be--I know that sometime it is just an issue of it having a funny day.
I had the same problem when I first started with Shelfari about a month ago - every time I tried to link to my amazon account, it would tell me my email/password combination were wrong. I'd go enter the same email/pw into amazon and it worked fine.
To me, it's just further evidence that this site is not only broken, but being neglected.
I'll leave it a couple of days and try again, thanks. Interestingly enough, I can sign in to Amazon fine enough. I did try changing my password but then it told me I was unrecognised by my email!!!
I'm having trouble accessing the mobile site also. When I go to search, it just sits there.
Hi Yvonne--Is this when you're searching for a book while already logged into the mobile site or when you're trying to search for the mobile site?
The traditional mobile site period does not show up in a search--if you can get to the Amazon log in page, it loops you in the sign in even with all information correct.
Have you guys tried http://www.shelfari.com.br/? That's been working more often than not for the iTouch the past few days. However, it does have that ugly extra brown space at the top of the site...
